Finding Nemo – 3D

by Adrienne Van Houten on January 23, 2012

I have made no secret of my dislike for 3D.  But something about the way the Disney cartoons have been done make me lean the other way.  I really enjoyed the Cars 2 in 3D and when we saw Beauty and the Beast last week, Caitlyn exclaimed that she felt like she was a part of the movie.  That is how to do 3D RIGHT!

A couple of weeks ago I was watching Finding Nemo with the twins and as soon as the dad went searching for Nemo with DOri I thought, now this one should be in 3D.  Lo and behold what shows up in my email inbox this week?  A press kit for Finding Nemo 3D!  I can’t wait.

Part of what makes Disney a step above others in 3D is that they provide child size glasses, that really makes a difference for Caity.  Now if I can find prescription 3D glasses I will be happy as well!

Enjoy this little blast from the past.

Prescription 3D glasses! What a great idea. You could experience your whole life in 3D. That car could look like it is coming right… Aaaarrrgh.

I have yet to see a movie in 3D! For some reason I get scared it will make me nauseated like an IMAX movie about space travel does…but I’m probably just paranoid!

3D freaks me out, but I have to admit I’m excited for this, too!

I’m not a fan of 3-D either, and resent feeling vaguelsy ripped off my the movie theater when a movie I want to see is only available in the pricier 3-D option. But I will see ANYTHING Pixar! This could well be the first movie I’ve sen, that I want to see again, in 3-D. Thanks for spreading the word.

I feel sick when I watch 3D for long periods of time. Bummer. But I agree that Nemo was made for 3D.

When I saw that Nemo was coming out in 3D, I actually got excited. 3D movies aren’t my bag, either.
